Chapter 4: First night together

Avani's POV:

I was taken aback by what I heard.

"Remove your clothes."

I looked at him, searching for any hint of a misunderstanding in his face.

But there was none. He walked toward the shelf, took something out, and turned toward me.

Akash's POV:

She looked so hot sitting on my bed, her bridal attire slightly disheveled, making her look both vulnerable and beautiful. The moment I saw her, my body reacted instantly. But I had to control myself. She was already scared; I couldn't afford to frighten her further.

First, I needed to remove the fear she seemed to have of me.

She looked tired, sleepy, and clearly uncomfortable in her heavy bridal attire. Without thinking, I blurted out, "Remove your clothes."

Her head snapped toward me immediately, her expression a mix of confusion, shock, and fear.

Oh no. I realized my mistake. "Remove" sounded so abrupt, so wrong. Stupid mouth!

I quickly moved to the cupboard, grabbed my kurta, and turned back toward her. "Here, wear this for today. Tomorrow, I'll bring your clothes. Go change inside-you look uncomfortable," I said, trying to sound as gentle as possible.

Her tense shoulders eased, and she gave me a small nod before heading into the bathroom to change.

I sighed in relief and quickly changed into a pair of casual clothes, then sat on the bed, waiting for her.

When the door opened, she walked out, looking shy and hesitant. She tugged at the hem of my oversized kurta, trying to hide her legs. I couldn't help but notice her milky white legs, the sight of which sent a surge of desire through me. But I had to push those thoughts away.

"Come here," I said, gesturing to the bed with my finger.

She hesitated but eventually sat beside me, quickly pulling the blanket over her legs.

"Do you want to drink milk?" I asked, trying to lighten the mood.

"No," she replied in a small voice.

I drank the milk myself, then turned toward her. "Okay, let's sleep."

Her eyes filled with tears, and she started shivering.

"Kya hua? Why are you crying?" I asked, concerned.

She kept sobbing, her shoulders shaking as she avoided my gaze.

"Don't you want to sleep?"

She shook her head, indicating no.

"Then?"

"Aap... woh karenge na?" she said between sobs, her voice trembling.

"Woh? Matlab kya?" I asked, confused.

She pointed to me with wide, teary eyes, trying to explain without words. And then it clicked.

Oh, so she wasn't that naive after all. Good to know.

"No, nothing like that," I reassured her. "Stop crying. Let's just sleep, okay?"

She looked relieved and nodded.

I lay down on my back and gestured for her to do the same. She hesitated before finally lying beside me, her big doe eyes staring at the ceiling.

After a few minutes of silence, I turned toward her and gently pulled her to my chest. She stiffened under my touch, her heartbeat loud and frantic.

"Relax," I whispered. "Nothing is happening. Let's just sleep like this."

She nodded hesitantly, her body slowly relaxing against mine. Soon, we both drifted off to sleep, warmth and peace enveloping us.

Avani's POV:

I stirred slightly, my body heavy with sleep. For a moment, I was confused about where I was, but then the events of the previous night came rushing back. His arm was draped possessively over my waist, and his face rested against my chest.

The morning light peeked through the window, bathing the room in a golden glow. My cheeks burned as I realized just how close we were. His breath was warm against my skin, and his legs were tangled with mine, keeping me firmly in place.

I shifted slightly, trying to free myself without waking him. His eyes fluttered open, drowsy and unfocused at first.

"What?" he mumbled in a husky, sleepy voice.

"I... I need to get up," I whispered shyly.

He blinked a few times, his gaze clearing as a lazy smile spread across his face. Lifting his head from my chest, he teased, "Why so soon?"

"I need to... start the day," I said, my cheeks flushing under his playful gaze.

He reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from my face. His fingers lingered on my cheek, warm and gentle. "You're beautiful," he murmured, his words making my heart skip a beat.

I quickly turned my face to the side, too shy to meet his eyes. But he wasn't letting me escape. With a firm yet tender grip on my chin, he turned my face back toward him.

"Never hide this pretty face from me. Understood?" he said, his tone both commanding and playful.

I nodded, unable to speak, feeling like a doll under his gaze.

Akash's POV:

Her shy nod and the way she avoided my gaze sent a wave of warmth through me. I couldn't help but smile as I leaned back against the headboard, keeping one arm loosely around her waist.

She was still tense, her nervousness evident. "Relax," I said softly, pulling her closer. "Nothing will happen unless you want it to."

Her eyes darted to mine, wide with gratitude and confusion. I ran my fingers gently along her arm, feeling her shiver under my touch.

"You're safe with me," I said in a low, soothing voice.

She hesitated for a moment, then rested her head tentatively against my chest. The intimacy of the moment was innocent yet profound. I placed a soft kiss on her hair, breathing in the faint scent of jasmine. "Let's stay like this for a while," I whispered.

Minutes passed in silence, the two of us lost in the comforting rhythm of each other's presence.

Suddenly, a loud knock broke the moment.

"Akash Bhaiya! Jaldi darwaza kholo!"

Adhya's voice sounded worried.

Avani looked at me with wide eyes. "Go inside the bathroom," I whispered. "You're still in my kurta."

She nodded quickly and slipped away, shutting the door behind her.

I walked to the door, opened it a crack, and saw Adhya's worried face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, keeping my voice low.

Bua and Priya have arrived, she said urgently.
